Bard and Terk landed down on Namek the had been sent to find the dragonballs by Broku, they charged their Ki and began blasting away at the planet searching for the dragonballs.

(I am not in this post but it is idiotic to blast away at the earth due to the fact the dragon balls can be destroyed ... just jiving you the facts)
